Hey everyone. No spoilers here. I just finished reading (warning: spoilers) Chris’s review of Indiana Jones 4 (which I saw last night) and I’m in the grumpy-nerd mindset right now. As a lover of the chronicles of Dr. Jones, I can honestly say that I’m more than a little let-down.
George Lucas could make a good movie decades ago, but apparently he’s eaten too many wookie-burgers and his mind has gone. After ruining the Star Wars franchise for everyone, we thought he would have learned his lessons and made REALLY SURE to respect our dear Dr. Jones. I was wrong.
I may go see Iron Man again, to refresh my pallette, and see the way a cool-but-sufficiently-cheesey-and-kickass hero film is supposed to be.
George Lucas, you are the sellout bitchy Metallica of the movie industry. You used to rock, but now you are just a loser has-been star, that bow’s to Hollywood cookie-cutter expectations, and goofy action-figure sales driven plots (Greaser LeBouf and his monkey friends action-set!).
On a positive note:
The CGI was excellent. To the gods at ILM, great light show, as usual. Kudos.
